VYPE FESTIVAL ACTIVATION

Client
BAT CANADA

Overview

The project created a modular Vype festival activation built from an expandable shipping-container structure that could tour music and arts festivals across Canada. Working from global brand guidelines and local market input, the team designed an immersive environment that combined product education, trial, and lounge spaces within a compact footprint that opened out into multiple zones. The activation integrated bold lighting, sculptural seating, and interactive product displays to drive awareness of a new product segment and establish a memorable, premium brand presence on-site.

How this project refined our practice

The work advanced the team's approach to container-based experiences that need to be repeatedly deployed, assembled, and packed down across different venues and weather conditions. It reinforced methods for designing truly modular layouts, aligning structural engineering with crowd flow, staffing patterns, and AV requirements while keeping the brand's visual language consistent from concept render to live build. These learnings now inform how touring activations are planned, from early zoning and logistics mapping through to fabrication details that balance spectacle, durability, and operational efficiency.
